Vila do Conde has safeguarded for more than five centuries the knowledge and craftsmanship that supported Portugal’s maritime expansion. This legacy of wooden shipbuilding, passed from generation to generation, is now at the heart of a new cultural project dedicated to preserving and sharing that heritage.

The Centro de Artes Náuticas is a hub for research, study, and sharing of traditional shipbuilding techniques, while supporting the region’s cultural and socio-economic vitality.

To bring this vision to life, Bastarda developed the brand narrative and institutional video for the project. Inspired by the claim “A tradition shaped by the hands of a people”, the storytelling pays tribute to the hands, knowledge and collective memory that continue to shape Vila do Conde’s maritime identity.
